His father was Alfred Davenport born 1890 Great Budworth Chesire he was a dockyard engine fitter from a long line of Blacksmiths He was lost on the SS ceramic in Dec 1942

His Family home was 93 Talbot Road Southsea Portsmouth Hampshire UK


A correction, the family home was 15 Fourth Street in Portsmouth  for over 20 years they owned the house but lost all when they were bombed out. With her husband and son killed Ethel Davenport  his mother nee Mcabe move  to Talbot Road.
